Chan She Shu Yuen

陈氏书院

Established in 1897, Chan She Shu Yuen is one of Malaysia’s most exquisite and well-preserved examples of Cantonese Lingnan architecture. Modeled after the famous Chen Clan Academy in Guangzhou, it is renowned for its vibrant Shiwan pottery roof-ridges, intricate wood carvings, and ornate cast-iron windows. Standing as a living museum at the edge of Petaling Street, this ancestral hall embodies the rich heritage and enduring legacy of the Chan clan in Malaysia, offering a serene, artistic escape within the heart of the city.
